The developers were somewhat successful with that goal. This is a flythrough video of the changes to Tirisfal Glades and Silverpine Forest in Cataclysm. It also features updated undead-themed music that you'll hear while playing through the expansion. I'm still not entirely happy with the way this turned out, I'm looking to figure out the best possible render settings for something that needs to be high quality and still a reasonable file size for YouTube. This video includes subtitles (which will be larger in future videos) for the places I'm flying through. A lot of stuff was implemented in-game during the latest beta update and we now have a decent idea of what to expect in-game. I tried to restrict it to the mounts that we will most likely see in-game, more recolors are available but they aren't always linked to an item, etc ... Let's keep it simple for the moment. This is not a complete list of all the mounts added to the game with Cataclysm, I'll do that a little later when most of them are added to the game. Drakes of the Wind The only known drop location is the Reins of the Drake of the East Wind rewarded from Glory of the Cataclysm Raider achievement. Stone Drakes Only 2 stone drakes seems to be implemented for the moment, the only known drop location is the Reins of the Volcanic Stone Drake from the Glory of the Cataclysm Hero achievement. Well, guess what! Blizzard is going to let you do the same thing in a Cataclysm content patch, avoiding the type of situation you see above. The Escapist recently interviewed Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street about Cataclysm, and he said: "Cataclysm may also eventually include a system that allows players to scale down their character's level in order to help newer players. The heirloom items unveiled in Wrath of the Lich King already scale with a character's level, so adjusting them to suit a downgraded character is already part of the design. Cataclysm will go one step further and replace individually purchased spell ranks with a scaleable system that allows a single ability to grow along with a character. Scaling down levels probably won't be possible when Cataclysm is released, but it's a feature that will be coming eventually and should help players of differing levels adventure together more easily." We hadn't heard anything about this feature before, but it sounds great -- this way you can play with a lowbie friend without drastically reducing their experience gain, and you'll always have something to do together. No complaining! Understand that you won't always be able to go on the run. The needs of the guild and make up of the team comes first. Understand that the loot you are looking for may go to someone else because they need it more than you do. 2. Know what you need. Visit WoW information websites like wowwiki.com or www.wowhead.com to see what loot drops on each boss. When you're fighting the boss, be ready to speak up if an item you need drops. Be ready to know if you're going to use your need roll or if you're willing to wait for greeding on it. 3. Be on time. When the guild is scheduled to start at 9:00pm server time, you need to be online, at the instance and ready to go 15 minutes of 9:00pm. If you are late, a standby will be used in your place. 4. Be prepared. When the guild enters the instance, you need to have all of the food, supplies, reagents, ammunition, potions, elixirs and/or flasks that your character needs to be able to perform at peak efficiency. Know what you need, and don't expect to be able to do a reagents run halfway through the instance. 5. Be Geared!!! WoW-Heroes.com ranks your characters gear with a gear score. As of the time of this writing, you must have as a MINIMUM SCORE (This is a guide and the Raid Leader decides on who goes): Heroics - 1400 Naxxarams/OS 10 Man of 1500 Naxxarams 25 man - 1700 Ulduar 10 Man - 1950 Ulduar 25 Man - 2200 Trial of the Crusader 10 Man - 2200 Trial of the Crusader 25 Man - 2300 Tanks need to be defense capped at 540 and healers need to have at least a 16k mana pool. Remember, PVP gear will help in the short run but it is not helpful in PVE runs. 6. The guild will choose add ons and UI mods to help the raid. You need to know which ones the guild requires, and have them installed, updated and verified to be working. At this time we REQUIRE VENT!!!!, Omen/KHThreat Meter, Deadly Boss Mod. 7. Know your role(s). If you are expected to DPS, you should know how to do it well. If you are expected to tank, you should know how to keep and maintain aggro. You should be an expert at playing whatever class you enter the guild with. 8. Do not delay the team. Different from “be on time”, this rule simply means that we are there to get the job done and screwing around gets players anxious and impatient. A good example of this would be excessive AFK’s. We will break for Bio and snack breaks every other boss or once an hour. Raids will typically last 3 hours at the most. 9. Maintain your attendance. Everyone has life interfering with their game play now and then, and this is acceptable. After all, it’s only a game. Not being able to make runs however will affect the groups ability to reach their goals. If you can’t make a run that you are scheduled to be on, let the Guild or Raid Leader know as early as possible. ALL NO SHOWS GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST AND WILL HAVE LAST PRIORITY FOR RUNS FOR TWO WEEKS!!! 10. Be loyal. Know that the goal of the guild is to get you better gear. As such, you are expected to help other people in the guild get better gear also. Running 10 and 25 man instances in groups other than the guild makes it harder for the team to reach their goals, if you are saved to another instance with out the guild.   WTM Daily Newsletter News from WoW The Musical Raiding with WTM and ICC (by Jim Ames, published Tuesday, 10 August 2010 13:25) Well we are going pretty strong on our TWO ICC Teams.  Saturday is our main progression Team but the Thursday night team is not doing to bad themselves. We want the two teams to be completely self contained - meaning NO alts in either team.  The reason for this is so we have 20 members doing ICC each week and once we hit that point, then we can LOOK AT THE POSSIBILITY of doing a 25 man team.  While we are using alts in both raids, there is NO chance of doing 25 man. Remember to sign up for the raid, if you are not confirmed that does not mean you are not going.  Someone is always late or a no show.  If you are not on your toon that you signed up with or in a random at the time of invites - YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!!!  We are not going to whisper you, we will just look for the next available toon to go on the raid.  It is rude to not be ready and holds up the rest of the group.  PLEASE READ THE RAID RULES. ALL MEMBERS WHO RAID MUST HAVE MUMBLE AND DEADLY BOSS MODS INSTALLED BEFORE THE RAID. If we start getting more raiding members, we will look at getting a third team going if we can get the healers and tanks for it.   ANYONE INTERESTED IN RAIDING CONTACT DEVONSHIRE AND WAYUN - THEY ARE IN CHARGE OF THE TEAMS.   UPDATED LOOT RULES (by Jim Ames, published Tuesday, 03 November 2009 19:15) While these are the official rules, these are not unchangeable. If you feel a change can improve this process, please offer suggestions. Thank you. All loot is random 100 rolls. It is recommeded that you use Class Loot addon so you know who is best suited for each piece of gear and Rating Buster which will show you the difference between what you are wearing at the time and the item you are looking at. 5/10 Man Party/Raid All members get one (1) need roll per night Tier Tokens are treated like any other gear All loot is first offered to main spec/class roll first. All that have not received an item yet and it is for their main spec/class will roll random 100 if they need the item. If you have received a main loot item for your spec/class then can not roll until everyone of your spec/class has received their first item. It will be called out: Need Roll and Off spec Roll and Open Need Roll - Only roll for MAIN Spec and if you have not won an item. Off Spec All can roll for items IF you can use it and if you have not won an item. If it makes it to OPEN roll - ALL that can USE it are welcome to roll regardless of winning other items. If you use GUILD REPAIR - All Green Items/BoE's go to the Guild Bank to be DE'd, as will Items that can not be used by any players. Mats from Disenchanted Items will be given to the raid leader for depositing in Guild Bank. The Mats will be kept and used for enchants for guild members. If everyone from that main spec/class has received an item then they may all roll for a second main spec/class item, and so on. ***It will be stated in raid chat, "Roll if you need and have already received an item." *** If no one from that main spec/class wants the item then it opens for greed/off spec rolls. You are able to roll an unlimited amount of times on a greed/off spec items. (we do ask for common courtesy if you have won several greed/off spec items, please refrain from rolling so everyone has a chance at some loot.) If the item is a BOE it will not be rolled for as a greed item so it can be put in the guild bank for up-and-coming raider main spec items. *** It will be stated in raid chat, "Roll for greed/off-spec." If no one rolls a countdown will begin for DE.*** If no one needs or greeds the item it will be DE'd. Enchanting mats from raids will be put in the guild bank. If the run is an alliance run, the mats will be split between the guilds, or we will cycle which guild gets the mats for that run (TBD which option we do.) If someone that won the roll decides not to take the item before it has been handed to them, the item will go to the next highest roll (please keep this to a minimum, if you want/need the item, roll for it, if you don't -- don't. Constantly rolling on items and then changing your mind creates unneeded confusion.) All Green and Blue Items go to the Guild Bank or be DE'd and the mats go to the Guild Bank, as will Items that can not be used by any players. We are not trying to cut everything out, but keep in mind there may be younger players around and members who may be offended by things like vulgarity, racist jokes, or talking about religion or politics. # We expect everyone to treat each other with respect, and for you to work together as a team. If you see someone questing n the same region as you are, send them a tell and team up. Quests go much faster and are more fun that way and you get to know your fellow guildies better # We do have a set of guild bank rules, everyone is expected to read and abide by them or you will have your bank privilages revoked. #We do not allow people who share accounts as it is against Blizzard's ToS and YOU the account holder are responsible for ANYTHING that some one does on your account. We do not want to hear "My brother or kid got on my account and did that" # Please show your team spirit by wearing the guild tabard. Yes you may wear a tabard you have earned in place of this to show personal acheiveyment if you want. # No Begging of money, dungeon runs, or quest help. This goes especially in trade/general chat. Of course you are encouraged to seek help but if there is nobody that can help, seek others or put it off for a later date. # Most IMPORTANT rule of all is if you wish access to the bank and to be promoted above Auditionee, YOU MUST REGISTER ON THE Website!!! You MUST use your Main Toon's name as the User Name so we know who you are and it you have alts put your main toons "richardboone alt" in the public notes, so they can get promoted also. Download Mumble We recommend that you run the latest stable 1.2.2 series release. Currently, the latest stable release is 1.2.2.   Platform Link Windows Sourceforge Mac OS X Sourceforge   2. Installation and Configuration Installing Mumble is easy, in most cases just select thedefault prompts to get you going. Authentication Certificate Instead of passwords being used to connect to your server Mumble uses certificates - encrypted files that identify you and your PC. That way you don't have to remember passwords for different servers. Some users choose to password protect their servers and you will still need to know the server password The first screen you will be presented with is the Certificate Wizard. The defaults are fine for most people. If you are interested personalizing the certificate, then select Create a new certificate. Select New Certificate and click Next Enter your name and email. Other people can not see this information so it best to use actual information. Next, Mumble asks you to back up your Certificate. This is very important! If you want to use Mumble on another computer, or lose your existing certificate, you will need this certificate backup to log into your Mumble server as you. We recommend that you save it some place where you will be able to find it again, such as a Documents folder. Congratulations, you're done with that step! Audio Setup Next, Mumble will walk you through your sound setup. Click Next On this screen, the default settings should be fine. You can change them if you want. Of note, there are two checkboxes in the bottom of the screen, "Enable positional audio" and "Attenuate applications when others talk". The first option lets Mumble use its positional audio engine, which lets you hear other people from their relative in-game positions (in supported games). It is recommended that you leave this on. You may turn it off later. The second option lets Mumble manage your system volume automatically. This will make it so that when other people talk, Mumble will lower your other system sound volume, so that you can clearly hear the person who is talking. This lets you listen to music or game sound without ever missing a word of what's being said on voice chat. It is recommended that you leave this on. You may turn it off later. The next screen lets you adjust your buffer. If you have problems with choppy or distorted output, you will want to increase this a couple of notches. Increase the slider until the sound playing is no longer choppy or distorted. This screen adjusts how sensitive your microphone is, and lets Mumble set up its automatic normalization feature. Simply follow the instructions to get each piece of the meter reading properly. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO USE "PUSH TO TALK" AND USE A DIFFERENT KEY THEN YOU USE FOR VENT TO BEGIN WITH.   ONCE YOU ARE ON AND WORKING, YOU CAN GO BACK AND CHANGE TO VOICE ACTIVATED. This screen lets you set up how you will send audio. We highly recommend that you use the "Push-To-Talk" setting, which causes you to only send audio if you are pressing a certain key or mouse button. The other two options will attempt to detect when you are talking, and only send audio then, but this does tend to send things like sneezes, background conversation, and the occasional echo out of your speakers. For this reason, we do not recommend these methods. Mumble offers a wide range of voice quality options. GuildMumble's servers support the "Balanced" option, which sounds great, and has far lower latency than similar products, without being too stressful on bandwidth. Select the option and click Next   If you dislike Text-To-Speech notifications, you can turn them off here, as well.   DO NOT USE POSITIONAL AUDIO!!!!! THIS A VIOLATION OF BLIZZARD TERMS OF SERVICE If you selected to enable positional audio, this screen will ensure that positional audio is working correctly. There isn't much to do here - Finish by clicking Next You're ready to explore more of Mumble's options or start chatting!
